Wavy American Flag
Wavy wooden flags are 3-dimensional representations of the official 50-star flag, especially crafted to create the effect of a flag blowing in the wind. Each wooden flag is custom ground by hand, so each wavy flag is unique. These flags make a truly dramatic impression and provide the ultimate gift for any true patriotic American.
It is approximately 30”x 21”.
Due to the process taken to make each flag, there may be a small differences in the size.
Stripes are first slightly burned, then stained to give a rustic look, emphasizing the true character of the wood.
Stars are painted precisely onto the union to give sharp images.
We employ durable solid wood construction with glue and cleats. Since the character of the wood is visible, no two flags are exactly alike.
Each flag is normally treated with polyacrylic finish that will provide excellent protection for many years. Storing and displaying these flags indoors is recommended. Weather-resistant finish is available at an additional cost.
Wavy flags are available in a single standard size and red, white, and blue. Custom color themes are available (including first-responder styles).
All of our flags are charred to allow the grain patterns to pop in the wood. This charring process can cause the wood to contract causing warping of the wood. We carefully inspect each flag before assembling and again at shipping. We discard any piece that does not meet our quality control.
A french cleat of 16” or longer is included for hanging and is recommended to mount centered on two wall studs.
